Let's get together in support of World Polio Day by joining together for a multi-club Pints for Polio event on Tuesday, October 26th!
This year Whitestone Brewery has graciously agreed to host us and they will be donating $1.00 of each pint purchased towards the cause - so come and raise a glass to ending Polio! All proceeds raised through this event are matched 2:1 by the Bill Gates Foundation.
They also have a food truck onsite, Van's Damn Tasty Tacos & Ronburguesa's, with $1.00 . Here's the link to check out the menu.

Families in Transit (FIT) are identified as living in temporary housing. The bags of food will be given out to the children identified by school personnel; they can take home food for the week of Thanksgiving when they don't have access to school meals. Sometimes this is all they will be able to eat for the week. We will also need volunteers to take the bags to the schools. Please come by and help, stay for a HH afterwards if you have some time. |

Come one, Come All!
Saturday, March 12th, we will be back at the Hill Country Ministries Food Bank!
If anyone knows someone who does siding, that would be VERY helpful. The door is constantly being rained on and needs to be resealed. Water gets into the office when the wind blows across the parking lot. The trim will need to come off, the door resealed and the stripping replaced or re-applied.
The other building has three panels that have been well weathered, and we will need to simply put additional panels OVER the old ones just to seal it.
At least it will be a little warmer than last time. We are like Postmen from a forgotten era. Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.
Let Debbie or myself know if you can make it? Click on the Register button on the left. |

We need 4-5 volunteers for two projects on a fine Saturday morning.Project 1. Replace an exterior steel door in one of the offices. We will be removing the trim, cutting out the old door jam and replacing it will a pre-hung door. If anyone knows someone who does siding, that would be VERY helpful. The door is constantly being rained on and needs to be resealed. Water gets into the office when the wind blows across the parking lot. Project 2. The other building has three panels that have been well weathered, and we will need to simply put additional panels OVER the old ones, chalk, and paint. This should be a quick 2 man-hour job. |
