VOCATIONAL SERVICE

High School Scholarships –Scholarships are given annually to RRISD Westwood and McNeil High School graduating seniors.  Four are awarded to each school at a value of $1500 to each student.  Total contribution is $12000 for scholarships plus breakfast.

Teacher and Paraprofessional Awards – Teachers and Paraprofessionals of the Year from selected RRISD schools are presented a certificate and $250 cash.  Fifteen schools include two high school, three middle schools, and ten elementary schools.  Total contribution is $7500 for cash awards, plus expense of certificates, frames, and breakfasts.   

Westwood High School Interact Club  – the Interact Club of Westwood has been rejuvenated this year.  We will attempt to start a similar club at McNeil High School. 

Junior Achievement and Mentoring – Club members have donated their time to participate in the Junior Achievement program at Spicewood Elementary and to mentor children of Jollyville Elementary. 

RYLA – Our Club has participated in the annual RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) since 2005.  We provide volunteers to help with the program; pay the school costs for two or more students; and purchase, cook and serve one meal for all students at camp.
