Larry Eichenbaum is awarded his Paul Harris +1 by Foundation Chair Ken Dickensheets. Jason Covington becomes our newest member as he is pinned by sponsor Kevin Lancaster. Leslie Hyland Rodgers entertains us with song while presenting us information on her Symphony of Soul program. Tom Perkins presents a $1,000 check to PET Austin coordinator John Rudd. NWAR is sponsoring one inbound foreign exchange student during the 2009/2010 school year. Her name is Angel Chiu from Taipei, Taiwan, and she will be attending McNeil High School.
NWAR President Hanspeter Tobler is presented a banner by Tony Thompson from a club he recently visited. Dr. Said Soubra spoke to us about sleep disorders and sleep apnea. Member Ken Dickensheets presents NWAR President Hanspeter Tobler with a banner from a club he attended in Jackson Hole, WY. Kent Miller is shown pinning a Paul Harris Fellow award pin on her husband, Kent, while TRF Chair Ken Dickensheets looks on. Our speakers today were Brett Dalbey and Nathan Reilly of the Texas Stars, minor league hockey franchise of the NHL’s Dallas Stars.
